Perched atop Byron Bay's most picturesque escarpment along Coolamon Scenic Drive, Eastern Rise was originally built in 1975 in a location that captures breathtaking valley views that extend to the Cape of Byron Bay. Still containing the original timber beams and rafters, the house already had an amazing textural warmth to build upon. 

Already nestled harmoniously within its natural surroundings, Studio Noakes undertook the task of creating a serene environment where guests could unwind and find respite from the hustle and bustle of the fast-paced world. Adopting an artisanal approach for this renovation, all timber pieces were meticulously handcrafted onsite by local artisans.
